Gardening

The weather here in the Texas panhandle has been unpredictable to say the least. There is always wind, wind, and more wind. But we have had days where the nighttime low is 32 with a frost warning and then the high for the day is 79. Talk about using your heating blanket at night and then wearing your shorts that very afternoon. So, needless to say I have been hesitant to plant anything yet. But now I am so pleased I was able to plant my garden last week. It is a small garden and I have tomato plants, zucchini, squash and yellow bell pepper. Last year for whatever reason, I didn’t get one planted.  The summer before last, I planted a large garden that even included strawberries. It was unsuccessful however because the rabbits ate it all! (That may have been the reason I wasn’t too anxious to have one last year). I also have hollyhock seeds I want to plant soon. If they are successful and go to seed, then I will be able to pass them along to you if you would like some.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week-end.

Love you all,

Anna

Your garden looks great! I hope everything grows like crazy! I'm not sure what hollyhock is...maybe it's because I'm from New Jersey :)
You have a great weekend as well Anna!
