JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa

My husband and I had a little get away back in early November. We drove down to San Antonio and stayed a few days at JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa. I'd never been that far south. The farthest I'd gone is Austin.

The drive alone was beautiful. Especially as we got closer to Borne and that area. As the highway slowly decended, the rock formations along side either side began appearing. Not to metion the trees! It was a gorgeous site to behold. Big, lush green trees everywhere you looked. In fact, the weather was perfect, low 70*s. Since it is so humid in that area, it was pleasant to be outside day or night. In fact three days after we left, San Antonio had their first cold front move in. So, our timing impeccable. We lounged around the pool, took walks around the resort, enjoyed the spa ammeneties and ate. Boy did we eat. The food was to die for. It was difficult choosing which restaurant to go to. Anything from steaks, to seafood, mexican and traditional sports bar fare were offered. The hamburgers at the sports bar were the best. They made their own hamburger buns, which were melt-in-your-mouth too, by the way. Even the tomato and onions had been warmed. By far the best burgers we've had in a long time. And I totally forgot to get a picture!

The top photo was the view from our suite. Isn't it beautiful? We could see the sun slowly setting on the horizon.

Needless to say, we're looking forward to going again next year.

Below is a little photo gallery, if you will, of our stay.
